For all students intending to study Modern Languages at Universities across the country and Europe

The study of Modern Languages provides a huge range of careers for its graduates. Modern Languages graduates are amongst the most employable, second only to medicine. Modern Languages acts as an ideal gateway into professions such as teaching, law, consultancy and banking, as well as jobs in the travel and translation/interpreting industries. Therefore early preparation is important and well recommended.

This course will cover required A-level subjects, relevant work experience and study abroad programmes for Easter/summer placements, as well as gap-year programmes, which will provide prospective applicants with relevant experience in the countries of choice.

The course is recommended for students in both years 11 and 12, with expert speakers from a number of the leading universities providing concise and interesting information regarding applying, interviews and deferred entry, making it a thoroughly informative and enjoyable day.

The languages concentrated on in this programme are:

  • FRENCH
  • SPANISH AND LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES
  • GERMAN (and other Germanic Languages)
  • ITALIAN
  • As well as a short talk on Oriental and Arabic languages

There is only set number of places available on this course, and it is served on a first-come-first-serve basis so early application is advisable to ensure a place.
